Dearborn Homecoming -Volunteers Needed

Volunteers Needed!

CALL TO ACTION: We NEED your HELP! We have a couple of big events during homecoming that we need help with! We can’t do it alone! Click the links for details.

Homecoming Bike Parking: Sign up for a shift or two on August 1-3. Share this post with your friends, bike groups, and volunteer groups. We need your help to man our shift all 3 days of homecoming. You’ll receive people’s bikes, secure them in the gates, and return proper bikes to people as they return. We would like 3 people per shift…more for the closing shifts after the fireworks, as it is crazy (but super fun!!) when everyone picks up at once at the end of the night. Click the link for more details and to sign up for shifts that match your availability!

Homecoming Bike Ride: Saturday, August 2, is our family bike ride with the mayor. We need volunteers to help out. Experienced ride support, SAG truck driver, photographer, and registration table. It’s very much appreciated. Click the link for sign up and details about each available position.

We’ll be there Friday June 9, 2023 and Friday August 18, 2023 from 2p-7p.

Please stop by and take advantage of this FREE service! All services offered for free do not include new parts.
**Flat tires will be repaired for a $10 donation if you need a tube replaced. If you have a tube, replacement/repair is free.

We hope to see you there!

We’ll also have What Every Michigan Bicyclist Must Know books from the League of Michigan Bicyclists and bike lights available for all those that take advantage of our volunteer services. And of course we will have information about Bike Dearborn and how you can get involved!!

If you would like to volunteer to help out on these Bike Repair Days at the Dearborn Summer Market, please send us a message and let us know we should expect you! Bring a set of tools and a repair stand! Or just come to hang out and meet like minded people. Spread the word!

**Not all repairs may be possible on site. You may be referred to bringing your bike into the shop for more extensive repairs that may incur labor and parts fees.
