Creating a safe cycling community while promoting the healthy benefits of biking for the residents and visitors of Dearborn. Encouraging new cyclists through events and educational outreach. Giving back through programs to teach cycling skills including maintenance, safety, and providing other informational opportunities to improve cycling in Dearborn. Advocate for safe cycling policies and infrastructure to establish safe and enjoyable cycling networks for recreation, tourism, and transportation across the city of Dearborn, Michigan.

Non-monetary volunteer opportunities:
Become a part of our advocacy leadership team, and/or our 3 subcommittee teams.
We meet monthly via Google Meet. https://bikedearborn.com/joinus/
You can also help us build our repair workshop supplies. We are planning to have regular co-op workshop opportunities and we need to build our supply of tools and often replaced bicycle parts. We have an Amazon Wish List you can purchase from.
IMPACT
Your gift to Bike Dearborn will help fund bicycle facilities and future programming throughout the city of Dearborn. We strive to make an equitable impact throughout the city
Your donation can help in part to fund:
– Bike Repair Station: $2400 (neighborhood associations and/or business sponsorships are the best way to provide a station in your neighborhood…we purchase it and maintain it)
– Helmets/Bicycles for Children: $1500 for 100 helmets
– Educational and Encouragement programming: $450 will provide a 3 hr safety class to 10 students and provide those students with helmets.
– Community Bicycle Repair Events: $200+
(replacement parts, cables, brake pads, tubes and chains being the biggest need)
