CONGRATULATIONS BIKE DEARBORN – LMB MICRO-GRANT WINNERS

Bike Dearborn teammates, Tracy Besek and Idrees Mutahr headed to Lansing this week to accept the micro-grant awarded by the League of Michigan Bicyclists for their Better Bike grant proposal project.  LMB, along with matching contributions from Mayor O’Reilly’s One Dearborn Foundation, Dearborn Downtown Development Authority, and Bike Dearborn, we will be able to purchase and install two bike fix-it stations with air pumps in public outdoor locations for all to use.   The first will be installed at the Gateway Trail trailhead across Michigan Avenue from the Dingell Transit Center for all that utilize the trail to access the college campuses and Hines Drive bike trails.  The second will be placed in the prominent west downtown gathering center known as West Village Commons.   We will keep you updated as we progress with this project.
The repair stand and pump are similar to what we will be purchasing and installing.
Thank you, League of Michigan Bicyclists!
